On March 6 at 5pm EST WBAI in New York will air a 2-hour special on the story of Sam Cooke’s SAR Records. The program will feature an exclusive interview with Friendly Womack, Jr. discussing his time on the label with his brother in The Valentinos.
The special comes on the heels of ABKCO’s recent dive back into the SAR catalog with releases of new complete sets of material from L.C. Cooke, The Soul Stirrers, and the Valentinos.
