She was the leading female vocalist on Cameo Parkway and had a run of big hits that began with “Mashed Potato Time” that went to #1 on the R&B chart (and #2 Pop) in 1962 ‘Gravy (For My Mashed Potatoes),” ‘Ride!,” ‘Do The Bird,” as well as her duet with Chubby Checker, ‘Slow Twistin’.” This collection includes 24 of her Cameo Parkway recordings and is in stores today.
